Charge Now Host

How it works

How Destination Charge works

Destination Charge turns long stay parking into managed EV charging. Drivers activate a site specific outlet from their phone, while hosts get a practical way to offer charging without managing payments or guest troubleshooting at reception.

What makes the outlet managed?

Destination Charge is building the default overnight charging layer.

It is a low impact charging solution designed to let EV charging be deployed at minimal cost, using the power already available at long stay parking sites instead of requiring fast charger infrastructure.

The system combines smart outlet control, power metering, QR activation, payment handling, session tracking, host visibility, and support pathways so a simple physical outlet can operate as a managed guest charging service.

The platform is built on world class cloud services such as Amazon Web Services by a team experienced in building enterprise applications used by Fortune 500 companies around the world.

Destination Charge outlets are certified for New Zealand and Australia and carry Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) approval. Installations are professionally completed and signed off with a Code Compliance Certificate where required.

Web app

The web app makes each outlet self service

Drivers use the Destination Charge web app to find or confirm the right outlet, review the charging details before starting, and monitor an active charging session from their phone.

  • Search result tiles show practical location details such as charge rate, outlet count, price, distance and live outlet availability.
  • The active charging status pill shows the current session state, charge rate, duration and total kWh added.
  • This gives drivers the information they need without asking reception to explain prices, outlet status or session progress.
