Pricing
Destination Charge is designed for long sessions while the vehicle is already parked. You review the energy rate, connection fee, outlet details, and session terms before starting.
Actual speed and cost depend on the site, outlet, vehicle, portable charger, and session length. Different locations can also have different electricity rates, so prices may vary from site to site. We try to keep the energy rate at $0.80 per kWh, but we also love providing charging availability at remote sites where charging would not normally be feasible. Those locations often have higher line fees and per-kWh electricity costs.

Some sites include a connection fee for the time the managed outlet is allocated to your vehicle.
The activation page shows the price and session terms before you start.
Example only: a 12 hour session averaging 3 kW delivers about 36 kWh. At $0.80 per kWh, the energy component is $28.80. A $0.10 per hour connection fee adds $1.20, making the total example $30.00.
Public rapid charging can be worth it when you need to move quickly. Destination Charge is different because it uses the hours your car is already parked. Compare the price against the convenience of avoiding a separate charging stop, waiting time, and route disruption.
The value is not only cents per kWh. It also removes a detour before check in or before departure.

Energy is measured in kWh and power is measured in kW. A 12 hour session at 3 kW delivers about 36 kWh, so the energy component at $0.80 per kWh is $28.80. The connection component is 12 hours at $0.10 per hour, or $1.20.
The connection fee is a small bay reservation fee. It reflects the time the managed outlet is allocated to your vehicle and helps keep overnight access fair; it is not a penalty for sleeping while your car charges.
Destination Charge is a different use case from public fast charging: it uses the hours you are already parked instead of asking you to make a charging stop. Compare the price shown before activation with your other charging options for the trip.
